Program Description

Event Details

Join us for a presentation on the art of bonsai with the Ann Arbor Bonsai Society. Bonsai, literally translated as “plant in a tray” is the Japanese art of growing and shaping miniaturized trees in containers. This program will feature a presentation on the history and cultural significance of bonsai, an overview of the techniques and care involved in the art form, and a live demonstration by a bonsai enthusiast. Generously funded by the Japan Business Society of Detroit.
