Welcome author Melanie Benjamin to West Bloomfield! Melanie is a New York Times bestselling author of historical fiction. Her novels include The Children’s Blizzard, Mistress of the Ritz, The Girls in the Picture, The Swans of Fifth Avenue, The Aviator’s Wife, The Autobiography of Mrs. Tom Thumb, and Alice I Have Been. Her newest book, California Golden, was released last year and follows two sisters as they grow up in Malibu navigating the 1960s surf culture.

Melanie is a native of the Midwest, having grown up in Indianapolis, and a library lover, having twice won her hometown library’s summer reading program. Melanie will speak about her work, followed by a book signing. Schuler Books will be onsite with books available for purchase.
