Program Description

Event Details

Join Lorenzo Lo Piccolo on a walk to learn about Michigan’s mushrooms. The event will include information on fungi foraging and safety tips, foraging etiquette and sustainability, mushroom poisoning, and search and identification activities. 

We will meet at the trailhead by the parking lot between Parks and Rec and the Library. The program is an educational field experience.  There will be no take-home collections. Dress accordingly for outdoor hiking.  This event may be canceled due to inclement weather, which will be posted on the Library’s website and on social media.

Registration is required.
