Program Description

Event Details

Explore the beauty of Japanese culture through origami and shodō-the traditional art of paper folding and calligraphy. In this hands-on workshop presented by the Japan Society of Detroit Women's Club, you'll learn basic techniques, discover the cultural roots of each art form, and enjoy the beauty of creativity. It is recommended that participants wear clothes that can get dirty, as calligraphy involves ink. For ages 12 and up. Registration is required.
